Turn on computer
and before Windows starts up, hit the F8 key one time per second,
repeatedly, until you see a list of options to choose from.
Use the down arrow
key to highlight “Safe Mode with Networking” and then hit Enter.
Hit Enter again to choose your Operating System.
When Windows loads,
log into the user profile which is having issues and then click
“Yes” to continue working in Safe Mode.
Open Internet
Explorer and go to
www.microsoft.com/security/scanner/
At the top center
of the page, click “Download Now” and click “Run”.
Click “Run” and
then click "Yes". Check the box to accept the terms of the
license agreement and then click "Next" twice.
Choose the type of
scan (usually Full scan) and click "Next".
After the scan
finishes, allow the scanner to remove any infections found.
Close all windows
and restart your computer (do not hit F8 this time). |
